Gandalf the Gray
Gandalf is the eldest (by two weeks) of the brothers. He's the Lover and not the Fighter and the Brains of the entire operation. He's the quiet type until it comes to meal and snack times. Then he'll let everyone know how displeased he is when either is late. He expects the window near the cat tree to be cracked open at all times even when it's raining so he can enjoy the fresh air of the Pacific Northwest. Any box that crosses the threshold is inspected by him and determined if it's to be kept or recycled—but only when he's done with it.
Sirius Black
Sirius is the Brawn behind Gandalf's Brains. Some may call him a bully but he doesn't care what others think. He does what he wants, when he wants to do it. Boxes are his domain as well. While he'll share them with Gandalf at first, ultimately he claims each and every single one of them as his own and becomes irate when one is taken down for recycling. For all his tough exterior, Sirius is a softy at heart and loves to "help" his Mommy in the kitchen. Of course if Gandalf asks him what he's up to, he's only making sure the human makes the food according to his specifications.
Don't be fooled by the picture. This was only the first day in our new home in Washington. Our humans didn't have everything unpacked yet but they made sure we had our cat tree from California. Of course, they made sure we got a second one once we got settled.
Who are we? I'm Gandalf the Gray and my brother is Sirius Black. We run the show here whether you know it or not. From our perches we see everything—and I do mean everything that goes on here in the Pacific Northwest. For now this is our home.
But soon...very soon the world will be at our feet.
Don't believe me? Go on and ask our minons...errr...your own pets. Do you really think you're in control? How many toys do you have for them? Special diets? Regular check ups?
That's what I thought. Don't worry. It's all good. You keep up the good work caring for our friends. We'll take care of the rest!
